Hannah & Matty got married at the lovely Sandhole Oak Barn on a delightfully warm December day. The whole feel of the day was one of earthy, winter warmth due not only to the time of the year but also due to the tasteful colour choices that matched nature and man made fabrics so thoughtfully and linked so beautifully to the rusticity of the venue itself. Hannah was beyond stunning in her sophisticated gown and Matty was every bit the dapper groom – the perfect pair. Their gorgeous son clearly loving the day as much as his parents! The bridesmaids were also truly beautiful in their glamorous dresses and the smiles that can be seen on the faces of family and friends throughout the photographs reflect the joy that was so apparent all day. Mere Court Hotel | Ellen & James

Ellen & James got married at the romantic Mere Court Hotel this month. It was a fairytale wedding with Ellen every bit the fairytale princess in her lace, full skirted gown. The reactions of her family and bridesmaids on seeing her dressed for her big day said it all. The muted peach of the lovely bridesmaids dresses complimented the softness of the natural bouquets quite perfectly. Handsome James and radiant Ellen made an ideal couple for a wedding photographer to work with and their feelings for each other shines out of every shot. The day was perfect – from the stylish wedding car to the sweet flower girl, everything was just as it should be. It was a real honour to be part of their day.

Inglewood Manor Wedding | Emma & Mark

This August Emma and Mark got married at the superb Inglewood Manor. Emma looked resplendent in her gorgeous gown – a fitted, lace covered design with a fishtail trail. Mark was dapper in his petrol blue suit and they made a handsome pair. It wasn’t only the couple that were a wedding photographer’s dream – the venue too was perfect. Inglewoood Manor is a picturesque and romantic building and we were so lucky with the weather. The sun shone down on the happy party and so the bride was able to walk up the aisle through a delightful floral archway which was outside so the perfect venue was the backdrop for the perfect wedding.  Here are some images from the day:-

Didsbury House Hotel Wedding | Rebekah & Ricci

Rebekah and Ricci made a handsome and charming couple on their delightful wedding day at the glorious Didsbury House Hotel in Didsbury, Manchester. Rebekah was pure glamour in her beautifully fitted gown with its beaded design. She really shone throughout the day. Her stunning bridesmaids complimented her perfectly in their sculpted dresses. Ricci was a dapper delight in his checked suit and they photograph together beautifully. I particularly love the shots with the white blossom in the background – a wedding photographer’s dream and the shot with their beautiful daughter’s captures a touching moment of family happiness. Even the tasteful and stylish bouquets (hand made by Rebekah herself no less!) matched the grace and charm of the day overall – no detail had been forgotten. A truly beautiful and memorable wedding.

Palm House Liverpool Wedding Photography | Anna & Alex

It’s hard to imagine a more idyllic setting for a wedding than Palm House, Sefton Park in Liverpool. Anna and Alex matched this glorious context perfectly. Anna was simply beautiful in a gorgeously cut, off the shoulder gown. A peach sash with an intricately designed pattern of beads subtly matched the detail in the bridesmaids dresses – deep indigo, floor length dresses with ethnic designs of beads around the top. Alex’s suit also complimented the bridesmaids attire and he cut a dashing figure besides his stunning bride. Anna’s natural beauty suited the glory of the Palm House so perfectly. For a wedding photographer to be able to capture such a delightful couples special day with the backdrop of vibrant foliage and sunlight streaming through the glass is a real pleasure. This perfect venue in Liverpool really added to Anna and Alex’s perfect day. Laughter and joy abounded throughout – not only the bride and groom’s perfect day but a wedding photographer’s perfect day as well.

Town Hall & Great John Street Hotel Wedding | Lorna & Frank

Lorna & Frank got married at the majestic Manchester Town Hall and had their reception at the stylish Great John Street Hotel. The day was fun filled and joyful, a real pleasure to be a part of. Stunning Lorna was the picture of grace in her gorgeous gown and Frank, the groom, looked dashing in blue by her side. The beautiful bridesmaids added further splashes of glamour, each in their complimentary dresses. Manchester Town Hall provided the perfect setting for this attractive couple and their distinct sense of style. The dramatic contrast between the ornate, historic hall and the contemporary chic of the Great John Street Hotel, worked wonders in providing the guests with two distinct yet well matched experiences. The attention to detail was apparent throughout, from the thoughtful place settings to the glorious aroma of the barbecue. Fun and glamour ruled the day with a distinct flavour of romance running throughout. Perfect.

Arley Hall Wedding Photographer | Anna & Phil

Anna & Phil got married at the idyllic Arley Hall – a more perfect venue for a wedding can’t be imagined. Stately yet romantic, the majestic setting was a fitting backdrop for the wedding of a naval officer and his stunning wife. Phil and his navy pals were debonair in their uniforms while the bridesmaids looked glorious in their shimmering grey dresses. The show was utterly stolen however by the truly beautiful bride, Anna. Her fishtail gown was gorgeous indeed and Anna was the perfect bride within it. The bouquets of white and pink were delightfully in tune with the overall style of the day where even the smallest details were perfect. From the grandeur of the staircase which the bridal party descended, all the way to the serenity of the wedding chapel, every aspect of the setting was in tune with the harmony of this delightful couple. All in all – a perfect wedding.

Hyde Bank Farm Wedding Photos | Carol & Rich

What a wonderful and gorgeous couple Carol and Rich are and how I loved being part of their wedding at the delightful Hyde bank Farm. Carol was beyond beautiful – a picture of understated glamour and style while Rich was all true cool in his braces! The bridesmaids were lovely in their maroon gowns that picked out the colours in Carol’s tasteful bouquet and the grooms men’s ties perfectly. English country met a hint of the orient in the styling of the venue as Chinese lanterns hung from the beams and splashes of reds added warming touches of colour all around. This was such a joyous day where family and fiends alike rejoiced in the union of these two beautiful people.

Kate & Tom’s special day was held at the glorious Saddleworth Hotel. The theme of the day was definitely romance and glamour. Kate was the most stunning bride imaginable in her lace gown, complimented perfectly by her elegant bridesmaids in their sparkling dresses. Tom was all stylish cool, therefore a more glamorous couple could not be found. The outside location was glorious – the height of romance was reached as Kate & Tom made their vows beneath the beautiful gazebo. Inside, the room was lavish and chic in it’s setting and shine. All details matched the theme of the day perfectly. A wonderful occasion, greatly enjoyed by all.

The sun shone upon Leanne & Patrick’s wedding at Wicham Hall this June. The bride’s smile was as stunning as her dress while the groom was handsome in his fabulous suit. Wicham Hall’s serene atmosphere and beautiful buildings coupled with it’s gorgeous grounds made a complementary backdrop to the couple’s joyous day. All the well-thought out details were simple yet classy; from the white rose bouquet to the classic car that brought Leanne to her wedding venue. Anna & Simon tied the knot this March at the historic Ashfield House in Wigan. Anna was a vision of grace in her stunning, lace covered gown of ivory. Her simple bouquet of peach roses matched Anna’s own understated elegance to a tee. Simon was handsome in blue and his beaming smile completed his outfit perfectly! The bridesmaids were gorgeous in peach, particularly Simon and Anna’s little daughter who was completely adorable! The venue, Ashfield House was stylish and grand indeed. The actual room where the wedding was held was flooded with light, which highlighted the subtle egg shell and alabaster colour scheme. Perfect for a wedding photographer to work in! Clare & Matt| Losehill House Wedding Photographer

This spring Clare and Matt tied the knot at the quaint Losehill House in rural Derbyshire. A gentle sun blessed the beaming couple, interspersed with light showers that meant the wedding day was favored even further by a rainbow. Clare was radiant in her wedding gown, her smile lit up the entire day. Matt was resplendent by her side. The bridesmaids complemented both the bride and groom perfectly with floor length dresses. The bouquets suited the time of year flawlessly with their bright shades of yellow and purple. The venue itself was a sight to behold. The stunning Losehill House Hotel is nestled in the Peak District. The room where the wedding took place was flooded with light which softly illuminated the subtle colour theme of biscotti and latte, so reminiscent of subtle Italian style. A wedding photographers dream! The day was a joyous occasion indeed and all choices the bride and groom had made worked perfectly and provided a wonderful setting for their delighted guests, even the food was sublime! What a day! Styal Lodge Wedding Photography | Nicola & Peter

Nicola and Peter’s wedding was a moving and romantic occasion which was such a pleasure to photograph. Nicola was an angelic vision in her fitted, lace topped gown while Peter was remarkably handsome in his charcoal grey suit. The delightful touches of gentle yellow that appeared in the bridesmaid’s dresses, the groomsmen’s ties and the bouquets added a splash of sunshine to this pleasant Autumnal day. The flowers had more than a touch of the English country garden to them with their daisy centers and this added a breezy innocence to the day. Abbeywood Estate Wedding Photography| Lyndsey & Paul

It was a delight to return to the idyllic setting of Abbeywood Estate for the wedding of Lyndsey and Paul. We were blessed with a rare, sunny day but nothing was more eye-catching than the couple themselves. Lyndsey was the picture of bridal perfection in her stunning gown while Paul was as handsome as a bride could wish for all decked out in blue. Blue was a theme running throughout the day as the beautiful bridesmaids were visions in sapphire, the sky was clear cobalt and petals scattered along the side of the aisle were sky blue. The mood of the day was far from blue however as it was a day of warmth and joy. Sunlight poured into The Glasshouse where the ceremony was held and the perfection of the English country setting of the estate matched the harmony of the day flawlessly. Magnificent all round.

Mere Golf Club Wedding Photography|Mellisa & Philip

A delightfully emotional day was had  by all at Melissa & Philip’s wedding at the ever stylish Mere Golf Club. Melissa was the picture of poise in her romantic, full skirted gown while Philip made a handsome and stylish groom . Hints of sage helped theme the day from the bridesmaids dresses through to the grooms cravat. A particularly unique touch to the day were the stunning bouquets of pearls that Melissa and her bridesmaids held. The ivy-fronted Mere Golf Club provided an idyllic setting to this joyful day and the gloriously imposing trees within the golf course itself provided a wonderful backdrop for some of the couple shots. This was a day to remember for all involved – a real pleasure to photograph.

Lake District Wedding | Kerry and Dave

Kerry and Dave got married at the delightful Swan Hotel in the stunning setting of the Lake District. I was fortunate indeed to be their wedding photographer for this memorable occasion. Kerry was resplendant in a full length gown of lace while Dave was truly dapper in his suit of blue. Their daughter was a picture of cherubic loveliness in her white dress and the other bridesmaids provided further gorgeous touches in thier flowered frocks. The venue itself was cosy and intimate, the lawn at the back leading the way to the tranquil River Leven – an idyllic setting for the guests to mingle after the heartfelt service. Another delightful experience that the day had to offer was a boat ride for all across the iconic Lake Windermere, a serene event that allowed everyone to bask in the peace and beauty of mother nature as well as the joy of this very special day.

Sandhole Oak Barn Wedding | Lauren and George

Lauren and George got married at the stylish and romantic Sandhole Oak Barn in Cheshire. The day was a delightful one indeed and I was lucky enough to be their wedding photographer. Lauren looked lovely in her full length gown of lace while George was dapper in his suit of blue. The service was tranquil and moving with natural sunlight pouring into the room throughout. Outside after the service, the guests were serenaded by a flamenco guitarist which added a perfect touch to the already delightful atmosphere. All in all, a wonderful day was had by all.

Stockport Town Hall | Jennifer and Haydn

Jennifer and Haydn tied the knot at the sumptuous Stockport Town Hall. I had the honour of being their wedding photographer throughout their special day. Jennifer wore the most stunning dress imaginable – the touches of lace and full skirt suited her slender frame perfectly. Simply put, Jennifer looked stunning. Haydn was the picture of cool at her side in blue. The wedding day was full of class and the couples distinct personalities were apparent throughout. Jennifer’s unique and vintage style bouquet was a particularly delightful touch and perfectly complimented the bridesmaids gorgeous, 50’s style, flowered frocks. In fact, everywhere you looked through this glorious wedding day there were thoughtful vintage touches to be seen – the funky design of the three-tiered weddding cake, the oh so English tea cups and the beautiful bunting. From the stunning wedding venue of the Stockport Town Hall down to the sexy E-type Jaguar the happy couple travelled in, nothing was left to chance in this perfect wedding day.

Alicia Hotel Wedding | Leanne & Colin

Leanne and Colin got married at the delightful Alicia Hotel next to the grand Sefton Park in Liverpool. It was a real pleasure being their wedding photographer for the day. Leanne looked divine in her off the shoulder gown with it’s full skirt falling perfectly while Colin was sophistication itself in his suit of grey. The outdoor ceremony was an intimate and stylish occasion with the wedding vows being undertaken beneath a stunning, stone canopy of ancient design. Lisa & Dave tied the knot at the splendid Croxteth Hall, Liverpool early in July. Formby Beach Pre Wedding Photography | Lyndsey & Paul

Last week I met Lyndsey & Paul at the glorious pine wood forest at Formby Beach. We were blessed with one of our rare days of summer sun so far and the light streamed in through the trees with magnificent drama, allowing for some truly effective shots. A delightful stroll through the forest and we arrived at the beach. The majestic sand dunes coupled with the stretching sand and gentle sunset helped create a real sense of romance. Lyndsey and Paul’s delight in each other is plain to see throughout and I can hardly wait for the actual wedding day. Let’s hope it brings a similar day of sun!

Despite a rather overcast evening in stunning Alderley Edge, Stacey and Jim (plus their two loveable hounds!) were easily able to make their love shine through the forbidding clouds. Ashes Wedding Photography: Becky & Matthew

Becky & Matthew tied the knot on an idyllic spring day at the award winning Ashes Wedding Venue this April.  The setting for this special day was full of traditional English charm – from the rustic elegance of the converted barn to the delightful country style bouquets, all was refined grace. Becky was a vision in her fitted, fishtail gown and Matthew was dapper in blue. In fact, touches of blue were prevalent throughout – the suits, Becky’s nails, even the sky had agreed to fit in with the colour theme! The ceremony was poignant and captivating and the celebrations that followed highlighted the pleasure friends and family were sharing in participating in the couples perfect wedding day. The fact that Matthew had family who’d travelled from Italy added to just how special the day was. It was a joyful celebration indeed and I was thrilled as their wedding photographer, to be able to capture it in all its glory.

Place Apart Wedding Photographer

Warmth and sophistication summed up Paul and Nick’s wedding at the elegant Place Apart Hotel in Manchester. It was impossible to name the most dashing in their complimentary suits with their delightful splashes of red apparent in the ties and buttonholes. The ceremony itself was simplicity and style personified and the guests were as moved as Paul and Nick themselves to see these two true gents joined in matrimony. In the beautifully lit location for the wedding breakfast, the speeches were some of the most inventive and amusing ones I’ve ever heard and fully engaged the guests and grooms alike! The images of the couple perfectly portray the mutual love and admiration Paul and Nick share. It was a joy and an honour to witness and photograph such a moving and delightful day.

Wincham Hall Hotel Wedding Photographer

Sophistication and romance were the key words for the day of Amy and Ross’ wedding held at the intimate and stylish Wincham Hall Hotel. Amy was simply stunning in her full-skirted wedding gown, wearing her hair in an elegant bun to showcase the pretty embellishments on the straps of her dress. She arrived at the venue in full splendor inside a magnificent cream and chocolate Bentley to join her clearly delighted and dashing soon to be husband, Ross. The couple were married in an atmosphere of joy and tenderness that was moving to behold. The images of the couple capture the simple beauty of their surroundings as well as their obvious delight in each other. A touching and celebratory day that I was honoured to be a part of.
